It has always been our dream to bring world-class infrastructure to Badlapur. While exploring this vision, we realised that attracting top professional talent to our city begins with creating the right ecosystem—starting with a state-of-the-art school, followed by quality professional colleges and a modern hospital. This vision led to the creation of Thanekar International School, a proposed CBSE school with a sprawling, thoughtfully designed campus built for the all-round growth of children. To ensure excellence, we partnered with Shri Educare Limited, known for the legacy of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Lady Shri Ram College, and The Shri Ram Schools. We are committed to bringing the best talent and highest standards to TIS. We invite the parent community of Badlapur to join us in building this landmark institution for our city’s future.

With over three decades in education, Ms. Asha Narayanan is a visionary leader with extensive experience as a teacher, principal, and curriculum head across CBSE, CISCE, and Maharashtra State Board schools. Her leadership is defined by dedication, empowerment, and making learning an enjoyable journey for both teachers and students. She emphasizes building resilience and adaptability in students to prepare them for a rapidly changing world. Ms. Asha began her career at Vidyasagar School, Indore, and honed her teaching skills at St. Gregorios High School, Mumbai. She then served as Principal at St. Mary’s ICSE School, Koparkhairane, followed by leadership roles at Lodha World School, Thane, and The Shri Ram Universal School, Palava. She now leads Thanekar International School, Badlapur, bringing her passion and expertise to shape the school’s vision and growth.

With over 28 years of experience in education across India and abroad, I have served as Head of Department, Academic Coordinator, Vice Principal, and Principal. These experiences have shaped my belief that education is more than academics — it is about nurturing capable, compassionate, and curious individuals.
I see every child as uniquely brilliant. Our role is not to fill empty vessels, but to ignite and empower each learner’s potential. Learning should be active, inclusive, and joyful, where students are supported, challenged, and inspired through creativity, critical thinking, and experiential learning.
